SESE:  Schools in Ireland in the 1950's

1.  What were the buildings like back then?

2. What did the chidlren write on?

3.  How were the children dressed?

4.  Do you think school was better/worse then?  Why?

During this time of being at home it would be nice to talk to your child about people they could pray for and make these prayer hands

MUSIC:   Carnival of the Animals  (The Royal March of the Lion)

Close your eyes and imagine that the Lion has come to visit you!  Listen to the music above.  Which instrument makes a growling sound (piano)  Is the music good at showing the lion - is it loud or quiet?  Can they hear the Roar!

Play the track again and get your child to move around the room to the msic

Now do the same with excerpt on the Kangaroo!

How is this excerpt different?  (music is quieter and quicker)  Has it a bouncy feel?
