Monday 23 March 2020

Hi Junior Infants,
Hope everybody is keeping well, staying busy and helping around the house. I want you to continue being creative. Draw pictures, make farm animals (similar to junk art in school) and be sure to go for your Spring walk.  Don't forget to complete pg38 & 39 of your SESE book.  However, make sure to stay safe and keep your hands clean at all times like we did in school.  Here is the poem we washed our hands to:
Remember we had been doing our daily reading?  I want you to practice these tricky words every day. Use a different game each time including TIC TAC TOE (draw the  lines like x's and o's) and SIGHT WORD SPONGE TOSS  (throw words on the ground and take turns throwing a sponge and saying the word)

  1. look
  2. the
  3. here
  4. said
  5. come
  6. little
  7. this

Get somebody to write the words out on a piece of paper in big large writing. (you will need x3 copies of each word for the games). Please see link below for more information on games you can play
   https://sightwords.com/sight-words/games/

Keep busy and play lots at home. I will talk to you all soon

World Book Day in Junior Infants

Junior Infants were asked to dress up as their favorite character from their favorite book. We had some great characters in our classroom including Ms O'Neill. Here are some pictures!
